The Power of Hoops

I have said multiple times that I could write an essay on why hoops are the best, most empowering earrings to own. I'm not really a jewelry person but I am a strong advocate of this fact. SO HERE IT IS.

1) Let's start with the basics: the basic shape of a hoop earring is a circle. Seeing a circle gives people peace because it is symbolic of wholeness, perfection, timelessness, eternity, and totality. So just seeing a circle earring gives people a sense of security. And when you wear them, you feel WHOLE and COMPLETE. That's how good they are.

2) They are chic as frick. The definition of sleek style is simplicity. No other earring portrays that better than the hoop. From any angle, it is complementary because they are slim and simple.

3) They make hairstyles look gooooood. Not sure how, but I think the earring gods just folically bless those who wear hoops.

4) Wearing hoops transforms an outfit from mediocre to KABOOM. Small bit of bling, but not an excessive amount that it looks like you're trying too hard, but just enough that everyone who sees you will think you work for or are some kind of celebrity. That's what hoops do for you.

5) When you look in the mirror, hoops bring out your gorgeous eyes. They're like the perfect best friend - they only shine a little bit to make you look fabulous.

And of course, there are some other-wordly and naturally humane reasons that just can't be explained of why hoop earrings make you feel empowered and crazy hot. It's like doing self love treatment ALL DAY LONG.

Last semester, I owned two pairs of hoops. I lost one pair, and the other I went hot tubbing with and they got wet and rusted which is dangerous. Sadly, I had to stick to studs for a little bit. And then.

I BOUGHT 13 PAIRS OF HOOPS. And named them all:
Rosie
Cinnamon
Theresa
Misty
Ginger
Brandy
Candi
Trixie
Lola &
Paris
I love my children so much!

In conclusion, just like every strong female needs and LBD, every strong female also needs a SPH (Solid Pair of Hoops). They are so empowering and truly the best use of metal the human brain has thought of. Do yourself a favor. Shoot some hoops ;)

Chick Fil A: A Review

At the beginning of the first semester, after eating at CFA a couple times, I swore off of it because it made me feel gross. So I didn't eat CFA for four months. Then at the beginning of the second semester, I decided to get a job so that I wouldn't have to feel bad anymore about asking my parents for more money to go to Fuego Fridays and eat out at fancy restaurants which I felt I should be able to cover myself anyways. So I walked into the Cougareat and asked for a job, which they gave me right there on the spot (they didn't even know me yet...maybe a good thing?) but not at Aloha Plate where I requested. Instead, I got assigned Chick fil a, which is the BOUJEEest place to work. The pay is higher, the people are cooler, and the reputation is pristine.

Naturally, as I started working there, I began eating there more. I normally work over dinner time so by the time my shift was over, I would be starving so I would just buy and make myself a sandwich since it was all right there. I rekindled my forgotten and somewhat forbidden love of CFA sandwiches. They are....dangerous. But I always stuck to the same order: regular CFA sandwich with no pickles, medium fries. (If anyone is reading this in Provo, it still is my favorite order just saying)

One day, someone bought a Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich while I was on sandwiches in the back. Even typing the name gives me goosebumps. What is different about the Club sandwich from a regular deluxe is they add BACON on TOP of the CHEESE. HOLY FRICK??!?!?! THIS EXISTS?!?!??!!??!?!? Even as I made it, I knew it was a match made in heaven and that this sandwich was divinely crafted for my taste buds. So I bought it and....it was the greatest truckload of carbs that has ever entered my body.

From that day forward, I have continued to be adventurous in my CFA dinner choices. We have salads and fruit cups and different kinds of lemonades and shakes - a whole world just waiting to be explored.

So here are my top 5 things to order at Chick Fil A that people don't know as much about:
1) I would be a sinner if I didn't say Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich is first pick
2) Chicken minis! We only serve them for breakfast but they are DANG good
3) Chocolate shake WITH strawberry mixed in (!!)
4) Polynesian sauce oh my lanta.
5) A regular CFA sandwich but add Colby Jack and American cheese on top of it....yesssss plssssss

Also I would like to add the fact that I am typing this in my dorm room at 7 pm as I mourn over the fact that I forgot the Cannon Center, the ONLY food place open in Provo on Sundays, closed at 5:30. Right now my options are an entire loaf of bread, hot chocolate, cheerios, some HUGE carrots (I don't remember where they came from or how long they've been there), and some mint oreos. I've already eaten all the pretzels and Werther's caramels. If you have a recipe that includes these ingredients let me know!!
